Myles Laurence Mansfield is a South Wales artist who paints in watercolour, oils, acrylic and collage/mixed media and Sculpts in steel.
He is fascinated by the place historical art occupies in contemporary culture and our perceptions of it. Myles often revisits famous historical paintings to remake them with modern materials and techniques in an effort to reflect contemporary cultural perceptions and attitudes.
Myles also concentrates on the urban environment and contemporary perceptions of it, using collage and acrylic to examine our occupation and place within the city landscape.
He Graduated his bachelors degree with a first class honours at the Swansea College of Art, and is now studying for his masters degree.
Myles has Exhibited at The National Botanic Garden of Wales, The Welsh Assembly Buildings in Cardiff and Galerie Simpson in Swansea.
